Filtering a Report—Selecting Most Items from a List 

If you’re filtering a report and want to select most items from a list in QuickBooks, but not all of them, here’s a handy trick!


Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Open the Filter Menu
    Choose the “Selected” option (e.g., selected accounts, selected names, etc.).
  2. Select All Items
    Instead of checking each box one by one, click the first item on the list.
  3. Drag to Select
    Without releasing the mouse button, drag the pointer down below the list.
  4. Release the Mouse
    Once all items are selected, release the mouse button.
  5. Uncheck What You Don’t Need
    Now manually uncheck the items you don’t want to include in the report.
