Filtering a Report—Selecting Most Items from a List
If you’re filtering a report and want to select most items from a list in QuickBooks, but not all of them, here’s a handy trick!
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Open the Filter Menu
Choose the “Selected” option (e.g., selected accounts, selected names, etc.). - Select All Items
Instead of checking each box one by one, click the first item on the list. - Drag to Select
Without releasing the mouse button, drag the pointer down below the list. - Release the Mouse
Once all items are selected, release the mouse button. - Uncheck What You Don’t Need
Now manually uncheck the items you don’t want to include in the report.
