    Small Business Employee Training Program (SBET)


    If your company has 50 or fewer employees and been in business for 3 or more years, you may be eligible for a 100% reimbursement through the NEW Louisiana Small Business Employee Training Program!




    What is SBET?

    The Small Business Employee Training Program (SBET) is designed to benefit business and industry by assisting in the skill development of existing employees through individual, standardized (off-the shelf) training. Employers are reimbursed for tuition and required textbooks and manuals once the training has been completed and proper documentation has been submitted to the Louisiana Department of Labor (LDOL). Training costs cannot exceed $3,000 per trainee per state fiscal year (July 1 — June 30). Funding is provided through the Workforce Development Training Account, at 2.3% of all IWTP funds available (currently funded at the level of $50,000,000 annually).

    IMPORTANT NOTE — In order to be reimbursed for the training, the application must be submitted and approved prior to the training taking place. The state requests that the application be submitted 30 days prior to the scheduled day of training.

    Since the program started, the SBET has reimbursed tens of thousands of dollars to small businesses for our training.

    FREE Sage 50 Peachtree Training

    We provide 3 types training for Sage 50 Peachtree: 1- onsite training, 2- classroom style training, and 3- interactive remote access training (where you train in the comfort of your own home or office through remote access technology).

    Small Business Employee Training Program

    The Small Business Employee Training Program was designed to enhance skill development in companies with 50 or less incumbent employees. The criterion requires that Louisiana companies be in business for at least three years, contributing and in full compliance with state UI tax laws. The Small Business Employee Training Program application has been streamlined to impede the process. Our consultants will assist you with determining if you meet the eligibility criteria as well as submitting the online application at no fee. This program includes customized and classroom training for Sage 50 Peachtree.
